Ok so you’re up late at night and well the last thing you are going to want to watch is an infomercial about the Flex Pro Ab Toning Belt right? Well I beg to differ and here is why. It is really a simply concept and one that I probably should have realized a long time ago. Except I was asleep at the wheel until I realized this point.

 

If you are up and not able to sleep whether it is because you drank coffee at night, have a newborn that is keeping you up or just are stressed why are you watching those late night shows anyway? It is because they are not very thought provoking now are they? If you wanted thought provoking I am sure the military history channel must have something on?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Well that is the funny thing? You are sort of entranced by what is on the television at that moment. Two AM in the morning you are not questioning if something works.

 

In fact I am willing to bet you may have bought something at that hour. I know I have. Manufacturers’ and owners of these products are not foolish and do know the behavioral pattern of someone at that hour and well that is who they are targeting. It is a numbers game at that point. You have a bunch of people who are in a daze whose normal conscience would prevent them from buying this and so when something comes on the television and sounds so exciting then of course that you want to buy it. I get that and so do they.

 

There is a flip side I must admit that I recently heard and that is that the owners of these products actually lose money and does this so the Wal-Mart’s of the world will give them some legitimacy and then accept them into their stores. That is a cool concept that in the long run it pays off. Just something to think about the next time you’re up at night and cannot sleep.
